Fancy RPG adventure

Dragon Hunt Adventure for Playdate is a free short adventure play developed by an indie developer named TenBoe along with Playdate Pulp. It is available in four different versions: the English Original edition, Children edition, German Original edition, and Junior Deutsch edition.

Set in a greyscale fantasy RPG world, you can encounter royal characters such as the King, Princess, and Knights as well as the Giant Dragon. However, keep in mind, that the original versions of the Dragon Hunt Adventure for Playdate are only suggested to be played by kids aged 16 years old and above

Venture into royal secrets and fantasies

Dragon Hunt Adventure for Playdate provides you with 8-bit pixel art graphics to play, which also perfectly showcases the game boy console experience that the developer aims to deliver. Assuming the role of Sir Ewald, you will enter the castle and face the King who will order you to find and bring back his princess daughter who got stolen by the giant dragon.

As you go on the journey to fulfill the King’s wishes, you will be tasked to visit various shacks and meet different underlings that can possibly give you hints on how to defeat the Giant Dragon as well as the surrounding castle mysteries. To get an idea of what to do next, you can interact with the goats spread around the environment and they will give you further instructions.

You'll go through a long walk to finally reach your destination and put an end to the giant dragon. First you must equip yourself with a Diamond Dagger as it’s the only weapon that can destroy the monstrous creature. Be prepared for a shocking twist at the end though as you will hardly see it coming especially when you’re too focused on finishing your job as a hero.

Surprising story-rich adventure

Dragon Hunt Adventure for Playdate offers you a simple yet surprising plot twist gameplay. As this narrative-driven game makes you fully immersed in your hero role, you will hardly predict the surprise at the ending. It’s such a shame that the castle adventure is short and quickly ends in a few minutes. Nonetheless, you will enjoy the nostalgic feeling of playing on an 8-bit game boy console.
